Numerous studies highlight the significance of enrichment programs for gifted chil-
dren, who often do not receive adequate challenges in standard curricula. In this
study, a 10-week course was designed for gifted second graders to enhance their
musical skills and inductive reasoning. The effectiveness of the course was evalu-
ated using a randomized controlled pre-post-test design involving 102 participants.
The results demonstrated small to medium effects in areas such as inductive rea-
soning, rhythm imitation, meter continuation, and beat perception. These findings
contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of educational programs
for gifted children and suggest potential connections between music learning and
cognitive development.
