With the revision of the German Ordinance on Occupational Diseases at January 1, 2015, the new occupational disease BK 5103 "Squamous cell carcinoma or multiple actinic keratosis of the skin caused by natural UV-irradiation" was amended as a new occupational disease to the list of occupational diseases in Germany. Skin cancer can also be recognized as an occupational disease according to BK-Numbers 1108, 2402 und 5102. In the meantime the recommendations regarding the evaluation of a reduction in earning capacity for occupational skin cancer have been modified in a consensus conference by the task force "Bamberger Empfehlung" at January 24, 2017.
