Scientific Abstract
Integrating ferroptosis-inducing strategies into current standard-of care cancer therapies represents a promising approach to eliminate therapy-resistant, highly mesenchymal subpopulations. This project aims to identify effective combination treatments that target the heterogeneous tumor mass. Elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying ferroptosis sensitivity and resistance will lead to a more precise and cancer-specific ferroptosis activation to improve therapeutic strategies.
