Since October 2023, Friedrich‑Alexander‑Universität Erlangen‑Nürnberg (FAU) has been developing a comprehensive mobility concept in order to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from university‑related mobility and thus make an important contribution to climate action. Led by the Green Office and supported by PB Consult, several internal and external stakeholders are working together on a concept that includes an analysis of the current situation and potential, a catalogue of measures and a monitoring strategy to promote climate‑friendly mobility. The development of the concept is funded by the National Climate Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, which covers 60% of the costs for consultancy services, accompanying public outreach and publication of the concept.
