Present changes in reading socialization result in skill mismatches between incorporated reading practices and reading requirements in higher education. Thereby, current offerings by university didactics are not working against these invisible transformations of reading and cannot guide students and their reading behavior for experiencing successful and enjoyable studies.
This project focuses on the conception of a coaching program for reading in the academia, and is tied directly to students, their reading socialization, acquired literacies and routinized media usage. We thereby use the data technology of Reader Analytics, which can be used to reveal individual reading behavior objectively. Together with students we develop case scenarios and codes of practice in an educational research setting.
