Third Party Funds Group - Sub project
Acronym: FlexPro
Start date : 01.07.2009
End date : 30.04.2013
The goal of the FlexPro project was to investigate flexibility strategies in the context of adaptable production processes in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Our working group first conducted a quantitative study on the flexibility strategies of SMEs. Within the framework of a web-based questionnaire study, a total of 1,221 managers or owners were questioned about their flexibility strategies. Based on this, together with the personnel service provider RKM, its industrial partners as well as cooperating SMEs, concepts of cooperation between lenders and hirers were developed with a view to optimising the placement, induction and integration of temporary workers and tested for their applicability. This was done with special consideration of the demands, the job satisfaction and the organisational commitment of the temporary workers as well as the internal employees. On this basis, various modules, especially management training, were developed to support the professional and social integration of flexible employees.
The aim of the FlexPro project, which was funded by the BMBF and the ESF, was to investigate flexibility strategies in the context of adaptable production processes in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In particular, this involved developing different models and concepts for the integration of (atypical) flexible employees (especially temporary workers) in the production process and testing them for suitability. The project was carried out in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, ALROUND-Aktionsgemeinschaft luft- und raumfahrtorientierter Unternehmen in Deutschland e.V., Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. and RKM GmbH Personaldienstleister in Munich.
