The benefits of invasive computing, especially in respect of the enforcement of application-specific non-functional properties, are demonstrated based on simulation and as FPGA prototypes. For this purpose, invasive multi-tile architectures will be realised, which integrate the various hardware/software components as developed by all projects. Further, x86-based systems are available for the evaluation of concepts, simulation, and functional testing of the software layers. Additionally, Z2 provides support for modelling and simulating power management techniques, as well as for visualisation, promotion, and preservation of research results.
