Mehmet Bicakci

Mehmet Bicakci is a research fellow and Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. His research focuses on STEM education, giftedness and talent development, and meta-scientific and psychometric methodology in educational psychology. His current work examines effect-size interpretation, selective reporting, publication bias, and evidential standards in educational research, with particular emphasis on improving the rigor and interpretability of meta-analytic evidence. He also conducts research on gifted underachievement, labeling processes, and cross-cultural talent development. His methodological interests span meta-analysis, psychometrics, quantitative research synthesis, and constructivist grounded theory, with a broader focus on strengthening evidence and measurement in educational research.
