Dr. Jon Leefmann

I am a postdoctoral researcher and an associate lecturer at the FAU Competence Center Wissenschaftsreflexion (ZIWIS) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. I work an teach on topics in Social Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, and Applied Ethics.

I have written among onthers on topics such as Epistemic Trust, Expert Testimony, Epistemic Exclusion, Epistemic Wrongness, and Advising.

Other than that I am interested in scientific understanding, disagreement and consensus formation in science; objectivity; and the proper role of value judgments in scientific practice (especially in the contexts of medical, health, and life science research).
