Britta Gehrke gained her doctoral degree from the University of
Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 2015, she was appointed assistant professor
(Juniorprofessorin, W1) for macroeconomics and labor markets by the
University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and by the Institute for Employment
Research (IAB). She left the university in March 2020.
