Sascha Julian Oks graduated from University of Bayreuth and Stellenbosch University, South Africa in 2013 with a Master of Science in business administration. His majors were information systems, marketing and service management. Besides his studies he was a student research assistant at different chairs and participated in the organization of the Bayreuther Ökonomiekongress. He gained practical experience during internships at the company Blaupunkt. His research and teaching focuses besides the topic of open innovation in the medical technology industry mainly on the field of industrial cyber-physical systems. The research activities are orientated towards the questions of how cyber-physical systems change organizational processes, services and personnel roles and how these can be aligned. The development of innovative business models for SMEs based on cyber-physical systems is another interest of him. Besides his academic work he serves as an instructor for leadership at the German Naval Academy.
