Description
Devrimi Kaya studied Business Administration at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he worked as a research assistant (Ph.D. in 2010) and Post-Doc (Habilitation in 2016). He gained practical experience in audit and the strategy department of an automotive supplier. He completed several research stays as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington, Seattle.
From 2017 to 2024, he held the Chair of Corporate Governance, Auditing and Accounting at Ruhr University Bochum. In 2024, he accepted a position as Chair of Business Analytics and Sustainability at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He received further offers from Vienna University of Economics and Business and Georg-August Universität Göttingen, among others.
He examines the economic consequences of firms’ financial and sustainability reporting, utilizing various methods such as Big Data analysis and Natural Language Processing. He publishes his research in leading international journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, and European Accounting Review. Additionally, he collaborates with renowned companies across various industries.
