Discourse Studies in Geography

Description / Outline

We develop contributions to the theoretical and methodological development of discourse studies in geography. In doing so, we are oriented along a "broad" concept of discourse that goes beyond language and symbols.

We explore the production and transformation of social spaces and ultimately social realities as a multimodal interaction of stabilizing and rupturing, repeated and eventful, linguistic and non-linguistic relations. In doing so, we seek exchange with theoretical approaches that focus on socio-technical, material, and bodily-practical relations.
