The socio-technical disruptions known as the "digital transformation" or, in some cases, the "digital revolution" are fundamentally changing geographies. At the Erlangen Chair of Cultural Geography we investigate these transformations from a cultural, social, and political-geographical perspective. Together with other colleagues we have established the research context of a "Digital Geography" within German-speaking geography and are extensively internationally and interdisciplinarily interconnected in this field.
