Abstract

This paper introduces the concept of the wandering range of a robust symmetry (Formula presented) (Formula presented) of a Hamiltonian (Formula presented) (Formula presented). This quantity measures how the perturbed time evolution (Formula presented) (Formula presented) deviates from its unperturbed counterpart (Formula presented) (Formula presented). Although the wandering range does not necessarily scale linearly with the perturbation strength (Formula presented) (Formula presented), we identify conditions under which this linear behavior is recovered and we obtain explicit nonperturbative bounds.
