Abstract

Degenerate Optical Parametric Oscillators (DOPOs) based on either χ(2) or χ(3) nonlinearities have underpinned applications for photonic computing, such as coherent Ising Machines and squeezed light sources. In this work, we theoretically and experimentally investigate the nonlinear dynamics and Kerr oscillations of an integrated DOPO implemented in a silicon nitride microring resonator.
