Abstract

In this work, we generalize Newton–Wigner’s localization approach to homogeneous globally-hyperbolic spacetimes with homogeneous Cauchy surfaces. Our analysis is solely based on group theory representation techniques, namely, through the use of induced representations and systems of imprimitivity. Our results also include criteria to identify which induced representations define localizable systems.
