Abstract

Occupational diseases also affect urology, with the most common being tumors of the urinary tract caused by aromatic amines (occupational disease no. 1301) or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (occupational disease no. 1321), renal cell carcinomas after exposure to trichloroethylene (occupational disease no. 1302), and mesotheliomas of the tunica vaginalis testis after asbestos exposure (occupational disease no. 4105). These tumors can be recognized and compensated as occupational diseases if there is sufficient occupational exposure.
