This article presents the access tools for spoken language corpora developed in the ZuMult project - "Access to multimodal spoken language corpora"; Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS) Mannheim / Herder Institute, Univ. Leipzig / The Hamburg Center for Language Corpora (HZSK), Univ. Hamburg. These are digital applications that were created specifically for language teaching purposes in order to provide users with access to authentic spoken language data which reflects their professional needs. The newly created tools are particularly tailored to language pedagogy. Thus, examples of conversations from the spoken corpora FOLK and GWSS can now be selected on the basis of difficulty-related parameters (such as vocabulary level, standard proximity/distance, speed of articulation, proportion of typical spoken language phenomena) for discussion in class. In addition, possibilities for working with the respective individual transcript are offered, oriented towards language teaching scenarios. The article demonstrates how the digital applications developed in ZuMult can be used based on a typical language teaching scenario.
