How does a chameleon keep track of its surroundings? With its independently moving eyes, it continuously scans the environment, thereby detecting potential prey or threats. By deliberately altering its viewing angle, it can capture a comprehensive picture of its surroundings. A radar system pursues the same goal: It must reliably detect objects and precisely perceive the environment. However, while the chameleon flexibly shifts between various angles, many radar architectures maintain a static field of view, an aspect that can limit performance in certain applications.
