Using Sum-Of-Cisoids (SOC) principle along with a deterministic parameter computation method, this paper provides studies on modeling of the intra-cluster number of scattered multi-path components (MPC) N and their amplitudes cn. Modeling objective is to ensure that the fading statistics of the receive (Rx) signal magnitude of the measured beam-formed channels for an emulated cluster; match precisely with the deterministic samples (channel snapshots) of the simulation model. It has been found that measured Rx signal magnitude can be excellently approximated with N = 2 - 6 subpaths/sinusoids which is much lower than 3GPP assumed number i.e. N = 20.
