Abstract

We propose using twisted photonic crystal fibers (t-PCF) for polarization-encoded continuous-variable-QKD systems, enabling heterogeneous free-space and fiber systems. Quantum-limited polarization measurements indicate t-PCFs outperform commercial polarization-maintaining fiber, offering superior performance and resilience to input variations.
