Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor. Concerns regarding the images can be viewed at PubPeer – PubPeer - Hydroxyapatite coating containing multi-walled carbon nanotu… Fig. 2b appears to be a heavily modified version of Fig. 2a, flipped horizontally. The two figures are supposed to represent different materials (HAp vs. HAp/MWCNTs coatings). An overlay of Fig. 2a and b, where 2b is flipped horizontally and has its colors inverted (so that identical areas cancel out into solid gray (9a), (9b), 9c) appears to contain duplicated areas. The authors have commented that due to the images being produced over 6 years ago, the original facility delete raw machine-generated data after a certain period and, therefore, the authors cannot obtain the original images. The figures in question were solely contributed by Sadegh Pour-Ali, and the other co-authors were not aware of the issues or involved in creating these images. The authors are unable to provide any evidence supporting the authenticity of the data and therefore the Editor requires the paper to be retracted.
