Within the scope of the present work, the process of process-adapted sinkers for the extension of the forming limits during forming of hardenable AlMgSi alloys was fundamentally investigated. The essential result of this work is that a local heat treatment, which specifically changes the mechanical properties of the investigated alloys, significantly improves the forming properties of hardenable aluminum alloys.
