Abstract

Employing Monte-Carlo simulation the expected accuracy of sheet metal bending is estimated. The simulation results are summarised as capability indices. Unavoidable rework is known prior to manufacture thus increasing planning certainty. Furthermore the so far unused optimisation potential in bending stage planning can be accessed and exploited with the assistance of this system.
