Abstract

We propose to leverage photonic time stretch for single-shot field-resolved detection of ultrashort pulses at near-petahertz frequencies. We show experimentally and numerically that a step-index single-mode fiber can be employed to provide a homogeneous time-to-frequency mapping of the gate pulses required in this scheme.
