Abstract

Driven by the opportunities for condition monitoring and other new business models, Digital Twins have become a popular topic within research and industrial application over the last years. This contribution presents an approach for the reuse and utilization of system models as core models for the Digital Twin. Furthermore, it aims to build up the digital architecture as well as present a method to reuse the models over the product lifecycle. For this, a SysML profile is introduced to integrate the elements of the Digital Twin into the development phase. In addition, an approach is presented to automate these models and contribute towards reusable system models for Digital Twins (RSM-DT).
