Abstract
Wireless Network is capable to solve many communication
problems. However, it is very difficult to evaluate and
monitor quality of services or quality of experience for real
time applications as video transmission over mobile
network; especially that these types of applications are very
sensitive to packet losses, end–to–end delay, jitter and also
degradations provoked by the used encoder. From that we
extract the need to apply a tool of simulation that
illustrates the behavior of the wireless network along video
transmission. OPNET system-in-the-loop module allows for
real devices to be tested over a simulated network.
This paper presents the methodology of how to make a
simulation within an OPNET scenario for video
transmission between real devices over a simulated wireless
network using SITL module.
