Abstract

In situspectroelectrochemical studies focussing on the Franck-Condon region and sub-ns electron transfer processes in Ru(ii)-tpphz-Pt(ii) based photocatalysts reveal that single-electron reduction effectively hinders intramolecular electron transfer between the photoexcited Ru chromophore and the Pt center.
