Abstract

We present a novel source of ultrashort, watt-scale, 50-MHz repetition-rate, broadband (6-18 μm, or 555-1666 cm-1)pulses. Generation and electro-optic-sampling of the waveform-stable transients is driven with a femtosecond thulium-based fiber-amplifier.
