Abstract

This article presents an overview of the technical possibilities of production facilities to alternate their energy demand depending on outer circumstances, arisen from the research network FOREnergy. It is shown how key activities can be identified by measurement to establish a flexible energy demand. Different approaches using the examples of production machines and building services show a process-safe implementation of flexibility measures using intelligent storage and communication systems.
