Abstract
This review summarizes the current state of research about the physical, psychological and social effects of sport.A synoptic model divides sport into organized school and club sports and non-organized leisure time physical activities.The health benefit affects both the entire development of children and the biopsychosocial salutogenesis of adults.Thus, what is being learned in the framework of sporting activities (socialization in sport) can also be important for other domains of daily life (socialization through sport). © 2013.
