Abstract

The longevity of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is considerably affected by the overall biotribological performance and synovial fluid lubrication phenomena. The present study is therefore targeted to identify lubrication mechanisms occurring in TKAs, focusing on the role of synovial fluid properties.
