Abstract

We consider abstract optimal control problems in Banach spaces depending on a small parameter. Problems of this type appear in sensitivity analysis, discretization, perturbation theory and homogenization of heterogenous material. We study the problem of passing to the limit within the framework of variational S-convergence. We derive conditions under which the limiting problems can be made explicit, and we verify such conditions for a number of examples.
