Abstract

End face coupling of rectangular dielectric waveguides at 75 GHz and 300 GHz is presented as a new, low-loss and powerful method for novel switching and multiplexing applications of MMW and SMMW signals. The coupling of the waveguides has been investigated, designed and optimized by extensive numerical field simulations and experimental verification at both frequencies. © 2004 IEEE.
