Abstract

A full polarimetric imaging system for the nondestructive testing of glass fibre reinforced plastics in the W-Band (75 GHz to 110 GHz) is presented. It is capable of detecting defects in depths of up to 14.5mm, and 0.5mm near the backside of the samples. The full polarimtric information eases the defect detection, since it is not sensitive for the reflection from the backside.
