Abstract

The impedance of a RF excited gas discharge slab-type CO 2 laser is determined experimentally. The electrode pair is treated as a lossy transmission line to calculate the voltage distribution along the electrodes. Optimum inductances for homogenization of the gas discharge are derived and compared with experimental results.
