Project details

Short description

The project is focused on the development and implementation of a coordinated network protection system based on machine learning techniques. The goal is to create a comprehensive solution for fault detection, fault location, and selectively coordinated fault clearance in electrical supply network structures of all voltage levels. Traditional protection devices are to be replaced by trained agents that utilize the benefits of nonlinear classification techniques, competency learning, and the generalization capabilities of neural networks. The development includes several phases, including the generation of training data, the training of the neural networks in multiple steps, and the demonstration of the solution in a real-time lab. The aim is to develop a reliable, transparent, and universally applicable network protection solution that can be implemented both centrally and decentrally.
