Third Party Funds Group - Sub project
Acronym: MetaKuBi
Start date : 01.01.2024
End date : 31.12.2028
The meta project supports the funding projects and deals with overarching questions of research on Arts and Cultural Education in social transformations. It makes an independent contribution to their consolidation and further development as well as to the interaction between research and practice. It relies on communicative formats of stakeholder exchange to promote visibility and sustainability beyond the project.
To this end, we record, aggregate and contextualise research topics, designs and results of the funded projects in the perspective of the transformation of Arts and Cultural Education against the background of societal transformation dynamics. From an overall view of the funding projects, we classify them in national and international (a) academic discourses on cultural education, (b) discourses on educational research and (c) dialogues with practitioners in cultural education. We communicate these internally with the funded projects as well as with other actors in practice and science in target group-specific formats. At the same time, we fundamentally reflect on the interaction between research projects and educational practice in order to further develop formats of this cooperation.
The applicants are united by their interest in developing meta-theoretical, methodological and methodological questions for the further development of research on Arts and Cultural Education. This concerns questions of the interaction of research and practice in the research process, the methodological design of research syntheses and their theoretical framing.
Based on the research questions and methods of the funding projects, the project pursues questions on three interwoven strands from a superordinate perspective of arts education and educational research: (1) further development of a transformation-theoretical framework model of arts and cultural education (2) modelling of the interaction of research and practice on arts and cultural education as design-oriented educational research, (3) synthesis of theoretical and empirical research results from arts and cultural education and neighbouring disciplines.
WP0 coordinates the consortium. WP1 develops a transformation-theoretical framework model for KuBi based on the thematic fields of the funding line. WP2 continuously analyses the results of the funding projects, locates them in the framework model, and conducts triangulation workshops. WP3 examines the cooperation between research and the practical fields of KuBi within the framework of a methodological modelling of management-oriented educational research. WP4 maps international research in the field of CSE according to bibliometric and content-related characteristics, as well as relevant authors and journals. Using iterative predictive modelling, relevant works for the research topic are identified; in WP5, in-depth syntheses on identified hot topics are created on this basis. WP6 develops an interactive web app to visualise the research landscape. WP7 serves to network the TP and projects within the framework of exchange with other meta-projects. WP8 organises dialogue workshops on science-practice exchange for education administration, policy, practice and civil society actors and analyses them reconstructively. WP9 includes an information and communication platform for the presentation of the funding projects and relevant information. WP10 advises on research data management, it encourages the funding projects to coordinate data collection and addresses strategic issues of Open Science.
