Andreas Wolf graduated from the Julius Maximilian University Wuerzburg in 2020 with a Master of Science degree in Functional Materials. International experiences include one year at the University of New Mexico (2016-2017) and an internship at the Norwegian Institute for Energy Technology (2020), where his research was focused on carbon coatings for silicon particles as anode material in lithium-ion batteries. Additionally he completed an internship at the BMW Group in the department for adhesives (2018-2019). He has been a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research since 2014 and contributed to different projects in the field of lithium-ion batteries and particle technologies. His current focus lies on battery recycling which also motivates the topic of his PhD thesis “Interactive magnetic supraparticles in a dynamic fluidic environment” where magnetic markers are used to monitor the separation of battery active materials and additives.
