Description

Experimental raw data of 3.75/3.75 OHA-GEL, 3.75/2.5 OHA-GEL, 1.25/3.75 OHA-GEL, 0.6% ADA-GEL, 1.2% Alginate, 0.6% Alginate, and 0.3% Alginate hydrogels is stored in data_OHA-GEL_ADA-GEL_Alg.zip. The testing protocol consists of three cycles of uniaxial compression and tension up to 15% strain with a velocity of 40µm/s. The specimens were cylindrical with a diameter of ~8mm. The radius in m of each specimen is stored in the corresponding _geom.yaml file. The data have been filtered (moving average and linear interpolation) and the load/unload curves averaged to approximate the hyperelastic material response for infinitely slow strain rates using the cyclic compression-tension data. The processed averaged hyperelastic data can be found in the folder out_OHA-GEL_ADA-GEL_Alg.zip. There are separate files for the first (c1), second (c2) and the third cycle (c3). The files contain time in s, normal force in N and displacement in m. The data are split into negative (_neg) and positive (_pos) parts. The averaged height and radius in m for each hydrogel composition is stored in the geometry.yaml file. Further explanation regarding the specimen preparation and experimental setup will be added after publication of the corresponding journal article.
