Abstract

Sheet metal working processes are also applied for the production of metallic parts with dimensions smaller than 1 mm. The specific characteristics of such processes are investigated carrying out punching and bending experiments. The influence of the anisotropy of the workpiece material and the tool geometry on springback, material flow and sheared edge is presented. The results make an improved process design and a higher accuracy of the workpieces possible.
