Abstract

Digital Twins process real-time data collected from a Physical Twin. This real-time data is often measurement by sensors, which must be selected and integrated during the development or modification of the physical twin. In this paper, a systematic literature review on sensors for Digital Twins and Cyber-Physical Systems is conducted. The results are mapped into a framework for selection and integration. From this, the special requirements for the sensors that arise from the use of Digital Twins can be identified.
