Abstract

In the corporate world employees experience increasingly team and project-based work. For this, they often need knowledge, methods, and routines they have not gained from their education or studies before. Tacit knowledge in this relation seems to be essential for the individual and corporate success. For companies, it is time-consuming and costly to further educate their employees in this knowledge, especially for employees who developed a resistance to change over a long working life within a company and position why there is the need to already start during academic education to gather these methods and routines. But also academic environment experience barriers in realizing this. This paper aims to identify the needs of students, academic staff and companies to provide direction for future research how to overcome existing barriers by innovative teaching methods and showing the importance of this topic for both, academic and corporate work.
