Abstract

The formation of multilamellar MFI-type zeolite has been studied systematically by investigating the crystallization kinetics and the influence of different synthesis parameters under static conditions. Depending on the template amount and alkalinity, multilamellar MFI-type zeolites with different degrees of purity were obtained. In accordance with X-ray diffraction, SAXS and SEM results, highly crystalline multilamellar MFI-type zeolites were obtained within 4 days of crystallization time. Depending on the Si/Al ratio of the synthesis gel, different crystallization rates, textural properties and product morphologies were observed.
