Abstract

In a recently published article Jin et al. described a new farfalle-shaped zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-F) and its transformation into the well-known ZIF-8 in methanol. However, the shown powder diffraction patterns of ZIF-F are similar to another ZIF polymorph called ZIF-8dia, which has previously been synthesized from synthesis mixtures of different compositions.
