Abstract

In this project, we develop and validate a novel data-driven prototype that optimizes district heating networks regardless of the respective network topology, consequently increases the operational efficiency of the network, and therefore contributes positively to climate protection. Our framework utilizes smart meter data and is developed based on artificial intelligence (AI) on a basic level. In comparison to other approaches, our framework can be interpreted and explained straightforward. An intuitive and user-friendly web application is implemented, so that any utility company case easily integrate it into their daily operations.
