Abstract

Digitalisation is not a process limited to an isolated technological sphere, which should merely come into pedagogical consideration as a new subject matter for education. Rather, digitalisation processes contribute to a reconfiguration of practices of perceiving and knowing themselves. With reference to Jacques Ranciere's political-aesthetic theory, digitalisation is presented as a transformation process that goes hand in hand with specific, hegemonic "divisions of the sensual". 'Aesthetic education' is discussed in its potential for a sensual "Dissensus", which does not act against digitality and digitalisation, but operates beyond the solutionist and hegemonial practices of their implementations.
