Abstract

Analytical frequency response functions for linear beams with Kelvin-Voigt viscoelasticity, which are subjected to exterior harmonic loads, are derived and discussed. The results are compared to transient solutions and presented as functions of the exciting frequency and the cross section location. Known results for elastic beams and statics are contained as special cases
