Abstract

Due to rapid changes in the development of modern automotive systems, the involved development methods, processes and toolchains are constantly changed, modified and improved to be able to handle the increasing complexity of the development procedure. In this chapter, the main current challenges in the development itself as well as in the modification of the implied processes are summarized and both a textual and a graphical overview of the main currently involved tools are given. The provided information can be used for the optimal planning of the development process for future automotive systems.
